Important Message

Dear Friend,
As an independent, non-profit organization, we rely on the generous support of our users to perpetuate the memory and heritage of previous generations. Now more than ever, we need your immediate help to continue offering you the essential services of JewishGen. Without your help, we won't be able to continue.

As someone who uses JewishGen, you understand the importance of being able to access family records that would be impossible to find without travelling around the world and spending countless hours in libraries and archives.

With more than four hundred ShtetLinks websites, over one million burial records, hundreds of Yizkor (memorial) books, millions of vital records, a comprehensive Holocaust database, genealogy courses, discussion groups, and many other constantly updated resources and tools, JewishGen provides you with the means to discover your family history in ways never before thought possible.

Right now, you can help by contributing generously to JewishGen so that we can continue to offer you, and thousands of others like you, this valuable service.(US residents are eligible for 2008 tax deductible benefits on all donations submitted before December 31st.)

Your generous donation of any amount - whether it's $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more - will make an immediate difference and help us provide and expand the wide array of services we offer to you and family researchers throughout the world who so desperately wish to connect with their past and present family heritage.

Gifts of $100 or more will grant you access to enhanced database search capabilities, enrollment in our online genealogy course (new courses begin Jan 1 and April 1) and other extra features.

JewishGen has accomplished much - but there is so much more still to do, and we thank you for helping us continue our important mission of "preserving our history for future generations."

Credit Card contributions can be submitted on our secure website by clicking here. If you prefer to donate by check, please make it payable to JewishGen and send it to:

With grateful appreciation and warm wishes for a happy and healthy Chanukah,

Warren Blatt
Managing Director, JewishGen

  1. Dear Warren and JewishGen,

I just made a donation. It is not a lot, but it is all that I can give at the moment. Thank you for all that you do. Hopefully I can give more next year.

  2. Isn't there also a way that Canadians can donate and receive a tax deduction?

  3. I did send a small donation and appreciate all you do.

  4. I'm not sure everyone subscribed to JewishGen will get this information--is it possible/useful to send this in an email to everyone who is registered? I saw it on my SIG list.

and they can take donation in 2009!

  5. I've already made my 2008 donations to J-Gen and some of its projects. My hope is that the partnership with the MJH will indeed strengthen us for many years to come. Halevai!
