On The Retirement of Joyce Field

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Joyce Field for her many years of dedication and perseverance on behalf of our crucial service. It is safe to say that without her efforts, JewishGen would not have evolved into the tremendously valuable resource it has become to family researchers throughout the world.

We have created a special page dedicated to Joyce on our blog (see below) where we encourage the many people who had the opportunity to work with Joyce over the years to share their thoughts and recollections. The blog post will be up for about one month at which point we will take all the comments and create a special page on JewishGen in honor of Joyce.

While Joyce is officially retiring, we hope that we will still be able to consult with her on a range of issues and that she will continue to lend her expertise to us when needed. We will surely miss working with her on a daily basis and will do our utmost to emulate her work ethic and dedication to the cause she so dearly cherishes.

With great expectations and hope for the future,

David Marwell
Director, Museum of Jewish Heritage
