The issue of privacy and medical records-- access to medical records

Many of us have hit road blocks when trying to obtain our ancestor's medical records --even if the person in question has been deceased for a long time. Steve Luxenberg has written an article regarding the time to change these medical record law restrictions which you might find of interest. Steve was a presenter to JGSCV and was very well received. His book is excellent--and the problem he came up against trying-unsuccessfully to get his aunt's mental health records years after her death is one which many of us may have encountered.
