Some RootsTech Presentations On-Line

Posted by: Jan Meisels Allen

I have posted previously about the recently held RootsTech Conference. Some of the presentations have been posted to the Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society of Virginia (MPAAGHS) website:
They are available at no cost. I don't know how long they will be available on the website so take advantage of these soon.

On the left hand side click on the video tab under "Items of Interest". The sessions available are:

The Changing Face of Genealogy
Curt Witcher, Allen County Public Library

Cloud Computing: What It Is and How It Has Been Used
Brian Pugh,

The Power of PDF: Tools for Every Genealogist
Josh Taylor, New England Historic Genealogical Society

Personal Archiving and Primary Documents
Brewster Kahle, Founder of the Internet Archive

Virtual Presentations Roundtable
Thomas MacEntee, Moderator

Josh Taylor will be the speaker at the IAJGS Management Seminar (on a different topic than above) at the 2011 IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy, hosted by the JGS Greater Washington. Tom MacEntee was the IAJGS Management Seminar speaker at the 2010 IAJGS Conference hosted by JGSLA.

Thank you to Randy Seaver for posting this availability on his blog:
