Many states and countries are experiencing severe budget cuts which impact the state libraries and archives. The latest, is the Georgia State Archives to close additional days and effective July 1, 2011 will only be open two days a week for public research: Fridays and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To read the announcement go to: http://www.sos.georgia.gov/archives/
hank you to Dick Eastman and the Eastman Online Genealogy Newsletter for alerting us to this.
