Smithsonian Channel to Air Documentary on Findings at Treblinka

Posted by: Jan Meisels Allen

The Smithsonian Channel will air on Saturday, March 29 at 8PM (ET, PT), Treblinka Hitler’s Killing Machine, focusing on the work of British forensic archeologist, Dr. Caroline Sturdy Colls, and what she and her team found at Treblinka I and II-including a heretofore unknown mass grave proving that Treblinka I was more than a labor camp. They also excavated a secret gas chamber in Treblinka II. Between 1942 and 1943, 900,000 Jews were sent to their deaths at Treblinka. To find which station the Smithsonian Channel airs on your cable serviced go to: Original url: and click on channel finder. It may also be best to check the time it is shown in your area. From the list of  cable stations and Dish Network and Direct TV it may be only being shown in the United States. There are two short videos about the findings on the same website. You will notice that the Smithsonian Channel is also airing several other Nazi-related stories which you may find of interest:  Secrets of Third Reich which premieres on Monday March 31 at 8:00 PM ET

An article in the Forward about the archeologist and the program may be read at: Original url:

I have no affiliation with the Smithsonian Channel.
