National Archives (USA) Announces Reorganization

US Archivist David S. Ferriero has announced a reorganization of the National Archives. This follows an internal report which recommended changes to the organizational structure and culture of the Archives. Archivist Ferriero has announced the first of the appointments to the leadership team several are mentioned below ( more are mentioned in the press release):

Tom Mills, former Assistant Archivist for Regional Records Services, is the first Chief Operating Officer for the National Archives.

Paul Wester, currently the Director of the Office of Modern Records Programs, is the first Chief Records Officer (CRO), leading and overseeing records management throughout the Federal government.
